Solar Powered Radar Display – Bradley Beach, NJ
Decker Construction volunteered their services by installing two radar speed displays for the Borough of Bradley Beach, New Jersey. The displays are powered by a 60-watt solar panel and manufactured by All Traffic Solutions located in State College, Pennsylvania.
Speeding has become a big safety concern in certain sections of Bradley Beach. The town has been very proactive by implementing improvements to slow down motorists; one of these being the installation of solar powered radar displays.
The radar displays enable the township to adjust the radar as needed. For example, on a 25mph street you can program to warn drivers speeding in excess of 30mph. At 30mph a white strobe starts blinking to let the motorists know, you are speeding, slow down!
