All Traffic Solutions has had an exciting 2022! We owe all our success this year to our customers, who provide us the privilege of supporting their traffic and safety initiatives; and our team members, who strive to continuously improve our solutions and the customer experience. This year we expanded our trailers product line, introduced a new integrated solar power option, provided a record-breaking product turnaround time, and much more this year! Here are some of the highlights:
Product Releases
ATS 3 Trailer Radar Speed Trailer with Compact Design
We expanded our trailers product line this summer by introducing our new ATS 3 trailer. The ATS 3 trailer delivers the same quality build that our ATS 5 trailer is known for, but with a more low-profile design to better accommodate our smaller radar speed and message signs.
The ATS 3 enables our customers to deploy a data-collecting radar or message sign without the need for a permanent pole to mount it on, allowing for faster response to neighborhood speeding complaints and more flexibility in terms of where the signs can be deployed. The pole attached to the portable trailer rotates 360 degrees so the attached sign can point in any direction. Signs on the ATS 3 are powered and charged with our new Integrated Solar power option (more on this power option below), which means that customers do not need to take down the sign to recharge the battery.
If you want to learn more about the ATS 3 trailer, read our press release.

Integrated Solar Power
We introduced a new power option for our Shield radar speed signs, SpeedAlert 18 radar message sign, and InstAlert 18 variable message sign: Integrated Solar. Signs with integrated solar power do not have an external battery to install— the battery is built into the sign and is charged by a solar panel, eliminating the need to remove the batteries from the sign to recharge. This makes the signs easier to set up, maintain, and move around if needed.
Setting up and mounting an integrated solar-powered sign is easy! Simply mount the solar panel and sign onto a pole, and plug the solar panel into the sign. Signs with integrated solar that are connected to our TraffiCloud® remote management software do not need to be visited after they are initially set up. Whoever is responsible for the sign can monitor its status, change its settings and messages, and access data collected by the sign online.

Improved and Streamlined Production
Our production facility in State College, Pennsylvania reorganized and expanded the facility to accommodate more orders and streamline production processes. These improvements include implementing a newly instituted inventory system and quality control process, and expanding our Return Material Authorization (RMA) team. Our production team has been working hard to get our signs and trailers out at a rapid pace, ending 2022 with a 1-2 week turnaround for our portable radar speed and message signs!
New Resources for Customers
Our Product, Customer Support, and Account Management teams have created and updated many resources for our customers this year! We have created an entirely new set of training videos to help our customers navigate and make the most of our TraffiCloud platform, and they have continued to provide ongoing and unlimited one-on-one training.
In addition to new training videos, we have also updated our product quick-start guides to help our customers get their signs set up and on the field as quickly and easily as possible.
Sourcewell Awarded Contract
We are proud to share that we were awarded Sourcewell contract # 090122-ATS, which makes the buying process easier and more affordable for law enforcement.
Sourcewell is a self-sustaining government organization offering a cooperative purchasing program with more than 400 competitively solicited contracts with thoroughly vetted suppliers to all state and local government agencies.
Annual Show Us Your Sign Contest 2022
We brought back our “Show Us Your Sign” contest this summer! This contest consists of customers sending images or videos of their All Traffic Solutions sign. We post submissions on Facebook and whichever submission has the most likes, comments, and shares wins their choice of a free Shield 12 radar speed sign with 90 days of TraffiCloud or a free one-year TraffiCloud subscription!
The winner of the 2022 Show Us Your Sign contest was the Hopewell Township Police Department, which submitted a video where they used their ATS 5 trailer and sign in a unique and hysterical way:
We loved seeing the different ways our customers have used ATS signs in their community. We had a large variety of submissions, here are a few:
- The Orrville Police Department reminding drivers of school zone speeds with their SpeedAlert 18
- The Princeton Police Department using their SpeedAlert 18 for a school’s field day to measure how fast the students could run!
- The University of Nebraska at Omaha using their SpeedAlert 18 to help guide traffic and keep pedestrians safe for sporting events on campus.
- Yuma County Works using their InstAlert 24 on a vehicle hitch to help slow traffic around construction zones.
To see our winners and participants, this blog will show you everyone’s incredible submissions this year.
Webinars
Improve Traffic Flow & Communications at Campus Events
In March of 2022, we hosted a webinar with ParkingLogix about how colleges and universities can improve the traffic flow and communications around their campus during events.
In the webinar, our experts were able to show how All Traffic Solutions’ products and services can disseminate messages to students and visitors, and keep pedestrians and bikers safe. Along with reducing speeding and sharing information, our radar speed and message signs can collect data so campus security managers and police officers can prioritize enforcement in areas that need it most. In addition to accessing data, TraffiCloud makes it easy to remotely change messages – removing the need to physically go out to the sign to make changes. With TraffiCloud, you can also remotely view the battery levels, set up tamper alerts, and more. In the map below, you can see all the different ways colleges and universities can implement radar speed and message signs across their campus.

Improve Traffic Flow & Communications Throughout Sports & Entertainment Events
In August of 2022, we held our second webinar which focused on improving traffic flow and communication throughout events like concerts, sports games, and more hosted at sports and entertainment venues.
With portable variable message signs that can be remotely programmed, event or venue operators and security managers can easily set up and manage messages to share with guests regarding parking, general information, emergency alerts, and more.
InstAlert variable message signs are portable so they are easy to set up to display messages wherever you need to share information, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. The map below illustrates where a venue can place ATS signs to help deal with the complex issues stadiums/arenas have to deal with on a regular basis.

International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference (IACP) 2022
We were happy to be back in person for IACP 2022 in Dallas, Texas this fall! Our team enjoyed seeing long-time customers in-person again and meeting some new customers and future customers for the first time. It was a pleasure to hear stories of how our signs positively impacted their communities.
We showed attendees many of our products including the ATS 5 trailer, our Shield radar speed signs, the SpeedAlert 18, SpeedAlert 24 and the InstAlert 24. We also featured our new ATS 3 trailer, Integrated Solar power, and conducted TraffiCloud demos in person!
Our team had a blast in Dallas, and we’re excited to see everyone again in San Diego next fall!
