HERNDON, VA. – NOVEMBER 23, 2020 All Traffic Solutions is proud to announce the recipients of the SpeedAlert 18 radar feedback signs. Nephi City Police Department and Rome City Marshal’s Office have been selected as the recipients of SpeedAlert18 radar feedback signs through ATS Gives Back.
Each month the All Traffic Solutions Gives Back team selects two winners to receive radar feedback signs. ATS Gives Back was founded as a way to show support in a meaningful way and help law enforcement agencies promote public safety, make communities safer, and ultimately save lives. Over the last 20 years, ATS found that police departments in smaller communities have a need for ATS signs, but lack the budget needed and do not qualify for grants. The ATS Gives Back goal is to bridge the gap.
Nephi City Police Department received letters of support from both their school district superintendent and from the city administrator. They expressed support and excitement about the application and how it could benefit them. Juab School District explains how they expect to quickly install the sign and use this innovative method to increase safety over time by partnering with ATS to get the most out of their SpeedAlert 18 radar feedback sign and TraffiCloud software.
“We will be placing the Speed Alert sign in between our High School and Junior High School. This sign will help slow the traffic where numerous junior high kids are walking along the busy road,” said Chief Morgan of Nephi City Police Department
The second winner for September, Rome City Marshal’s Office, is made up of four sworn officers. These officers dedicate themselves to their community but realize the limitations of being such a small force. They expressed that they want to use the SpeedAlert 18 sign’s data to determine where speed violations are occurring most often so that their police force can be placed most effectively. Rome City has already identified two different intersections where they’d like to use the sign for traffic studies and to improve safety.
