Traffic Sergeant Eric Munson leads The Village of Plainfield Traffic Safety Program. With education being an integral part of any traffic safety program, the Plainfield Police Department currently utilizes six All Traffic Solutions radar speed display signs. Of the six signs, four are permanently mounted in high speed complaint areas and two Shield 12 ultra-portable radar speed display signs are rotated regularly between ten problem areas. Sergeant Munson states, “Moving the signs between the problem areas is quick and easy, as it only takes seconds to both remove and hang the signs securely at other locations as sign brackets are left permanently mounted.”
Sergeant Munson also states that “The signs are a great tool, and they are continuously requested by citizens. Only having to move a 12 pound sign around that is viewable from over 700 feet makes it possible to quickly and easily respond to citizen complaints on nearly any road. The customer service from All Traffic Solutions has always been excellent as technical support is provided for the life of the sign. We believe the quality of the radar speed display signs from All Traffic Solutions and continued support to maximize its use has significantly contributed to our overall traffic safety program.”
